“ Trevor was the best server he was so pleasant and attentive! The food was amazing ! It was our first time coming before lunch/dinner and we will be coming back for brunch again soon. We got the French toast and the pancakes; as well as calamari, some mimosas and pistachio martinis. All were delicious I didn’t need a drop of additional butter or syrup for the pancakes, but much were HUGE! The French toast was out of this world! They have the best fried calamari in town and we eat out a lot! The pistachio butter martinis were something we took a risk on because we usually opt for the espresso martini or a margarita. Omg it was a risk worth taking! So good! The manager was so polite about us not having a reservation and we were still seated pretty quickly. We can’t iterate enough how awesome our server Trevor was! We will be back. ”
“ Started with the smoked fish dip. It was good, but probably wouldn’t order it again. Although the hush puppies were amazing! My husband had the shrimp appetizer which he said was delicious. He especially loved the flavor of the remoulade. He also enjoyed the blue crab cake dinner with succotash (forgot to get a picture before he dug in). I really liked the bronzed salmon (3 parts blackened & 1 part brown sugar)...delicious! Also came with succotash which was good as was the house salad. Nice bit of brightness. They bring rolls with honey butter at the beginning. The rolls had a distinct flavor (can’t remember what Elle said, maybe caraway or rye or something like that). My preference would be plain rolls. Our server Elle was fantastic! Was great at answering our questions, kept the water filled, and a true joy. We really enjoyed Saltine. UPDATE: We both ordered the bronzed salmon ‘to go’ a couple days later to eat in our room while watching the game. Delicious! Google didn’t have an option to recommend the salmon (part of the Fresh Catch of the Day options), but I highly recommend. ”
“ No way Christin has only been serving here for 5 days?! She is amazing. Very attentive. A great smile. Outstanding customer service. Thank you Christin. ”
“ Amazing local oysters and seafood. Pricey but worth it. Will be back! The She Crab soup was incredible. My oldest son got the fish dip. I thought it had an odd flavor. He was good with it but my wife and I refused a second taste. Large raw bar good size dining and two private banquet rooms in the back. ”
“ I truly loved the customer service and the food selection for brunch. My daughter enjoyed her jumbo cinnamon roll! The fish dip had more fish in it than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The portion were nice because I was full but not overly stuffed. The atmosphere in this restaurant is easy going and would be cute for a date night. ”
“ Our server, Brandon, was amazing! He was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. We came late in the night for drinks and some fries. The fries were delicious, the drinks were strong, and the atmosphere was nice. The staff who interacted with us were charming and funny. A nice place to visit to end the night. ”
“ Sunday evening dinner here was nice and filling. Started with an order of truffle fries and hush puppies. Got the full tray and need to say...if you don’t have a drunk, hungry table of four, you do not need the full size option. But you most definitely always need to order them. The combo fry with truffle pairs with precision to the garlic ranch they offer. Hush puppies were also great for all the hush puppy reasons, fried through but still warm and moist with the exact mix of not to rich but full of flavor. Despite the fact I really don’t care for red peppers, I still feel the hush puppy is worth noting as my company absolutely loved them. I also got the she crab soup (not pictured) and it was a 9 out of 10. A little less viscous than what I would give a 10 but I found that I liked it just the same and realize now typing this, I’d go back just to have a bowl of soup (and a half tray of the truffle fries). Table got the clams, 40oz rib eye and I got the tile fish. Should have stuck with the succotash that comes with the fish but I really wanted to try the peas & pancetta cous cous. It was good but I didn’t feel like it paired well with my bronzed tile fish. With that being said, my tile fish was delicious and a surprise to see on the menu! It’s hard to find and made decision making a breeze once I saw it on the catch of the day menu (table top fold menu, don’t miss it). Rib eye was cooked as requested and is definitely a hardy serving. Clams had a delicious broth with chorizo sausage bites (not crumbles), kale and white beans. I noticed my company actually eating it like a soup as much as dipping bread!!! That’s a great sign. I tasted it and really enjoyed that they took advantage of being creative with the broth!!! No dessert. Too full (remember, half try of fries). Also, side note. I genuinely didn’t feel like it was overpriced (food menu), though the drink prices did make me double take. For its location and food menu options...it was fair and didn’t feel excessive, which is rare these days. ”
“ We originally wanted to go to Grain for brunch, but my three-year-old son can't appreciate a 31 brunch buffet, so we ended up at Saltine instead. We were the first ones in at 9 a.m. on a Saturday, and the wait staff was super nice. The host brought us to one of the "power booths" in the corner, and it was comfy, had cool pictures, and was the perfect place to keep my son contained. The 5 bloody Marys are flavorful and hit kinda hard. I drank three and had to walk them off downtown over the next few hours The food was good, as well. I got the Chesapeake Hot Brown & She Crab. Perfectly seasoned--the Hot Brown needed no salt, no pepper, no anything. Warm and hearty, with many textures between the gravy, bacon, and bread. The She Crab soup was expertly seasoned, too. Lightly sweet with nice little bundles of crab meat mostly waiting on the bottom of the cup. My wife got the Blue Crab Benedict. It tasted great, but the eggs on the Benedict had been cooked too long and the yolks were solid, so my wife was a bit bummed out about that, but not that much since we were already two Bloodys deep. We had a great time. The service and classy vibe more than made up for any gripes we had. Our server, Cameron, was very nice, professional, and patient. Would come back here, and that's no yolk ”
